He was also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery with the University of Missouri Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Parker joined Columbia Orthopaedic Group in 2005 remaining specialized in providing spine care. He understands that having a spinal problem can be distressing and he works hard with patients to alleviate fear and stress by providing education and a variety of treatment options. He has a conservative approach to spinal care and strives to avoid surgery. When surgery is necessary, his practice is oriented toward a minimally invasive approach which allows for shorter hospital stays and faster recovery from surgery.
Dr. Parker is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of numerous professional societies including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, North American Spine Society, and the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is active in research with multiple studies currently in progress and was the principal investigator of Duragen Plus Adhesion Study and was also an investigator in cervical disc replacement multi-center study.
Dr. Parker has spent his career helping reduce pain and revitalize the well-being of his patients. He loves calling Columbia home with his family.
